    how do insights know how many cases are being processed ?

When I check insights , there is processing segment in the pie chart , how do we know this number ? uscis does not say to anyone that we are processing your case .

Does  anyone have a similar IOE for N400? It's seems weird to me that they're working on IOE09000 now and my case number is IOE900.. not many cases within that range..
