IOE Cases

Hi Jin,

With the new approach of USCIS, almost every I-485 from NY and surrounding states are received by National Benefits Center with a case code IOE.

Are you considering integrating IOE cases with your website in all segments like the others?

Your efforts and voluntary service is highly appreciated

Hi met zey,

I wish I could integrate all IOE cases like the others. But the situation is I have no idea how the case numbers are organized.
It doesn't look like others, either organized by date (cases in service center), or in numeric order (cases in lock box).

If you have any insights on that, please share them here. I could try my best to make it works.

Yes, it's a little messy with IOEs. 2023 FY faster processing time policy of USCIS has forced them into electronic IOEs,
but they couldn't adapt their computer system to pull up files in a regular order while processing.
So they're literally processing our files in a RANDOM order at the moment!

About my insights, I spent some good time for due diligence. Not many ideas out there, but your Query page helped me a lot:

***
Seems like it's just a numeric order. Each new application adds up to the number.
The cases that start with IOE0900000000, their last action dates are from 2015 and are finalized, so I assume the 090 range is an old business.
But the new range that covers 2020-2022 starts from IOE0910000000 and is currently up to IOE0918****** (Didn't reach IOE0919000000 yet)
***

Correct me if I'm wrong (since I don't know how you integrate the cases):

Perhaps you could define a query range of 10.000.000 starting from IOE0910000000
And exclude Invalid Receipt Numbers from the range
This might give us the full list of recent IOE cases from 2020-to-Date and we can use that data in Analytics.

I did an evaluation. it is a little bit costly. So, I will try to crawl the data at weekends.

Oh, scraping 10M case data will take some time.
(Though only a fragment of it will be useful I guess)

It's highly appreciated. I'll post one on reddit, I bet there'll be people willing to contribute.

Please email me if there's anything I can help with.

Thanks for offering help here.

I'm sure that there would be not too many out of 10M cases with forms I-485 and I-90.

What else do you think are useful application forms to track?

we could add I-765 and I-130 imo

sounds good.

Scraped about half of the 10M cases.
I-130 and I-765 have the most.
